Posted on 04:04 by Maria Scott
Google has rolled out an updated Translate app for Android platform,
adding a slew of new features such as camera-input support for new
languages such as Chinese, Japenese and Korean. The update also includes
handwriting support for 11 more languages.
The updated Google Translate
for Android allows users to translate text between 65 languages. The
handwriting recognition support now supports languages such as
Afrikaans, Croatian, Czech, Icelandic, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian,
Slovak, Slovenian, Ukrainian and Welsh. For Chinese, Japanese and Korean
languages, the camera-input currently only supports horizontal text.
The updated app for Android comes
shortly after rolled out an update for the Web version. The update for
the Web version adds reverse translations and synonym clusters while
prioritizing the most popular results. Download the updated Google
Translate for Android from here.
